Serious request, safe drink water for all!!

Serious request starts today, it's an initiative from a Dutch popular radio sender 3fm. Three popular DJ's will be voluntarily locked up in a house for 6 days in The Hague. They are not aloud to eat, smoke and have very little privacy. A web cam will watch them day and night, the front of the house is made of glass so everybody can come to see and watch them ;) The door will be locked by Prince Willem Alexander This way they want to collect money for the Red Cross Foundation project " Water pumps for Africa" . So that they can buy new water pumps for pour countries in the world so that people and children will not longer die from drinking dirty water. A lot of people die, because the water they depend on is not safe to drink.

You can request a song, but you've to donate a gift first. They keep taking request 24h a day for 6 days. You can follow them through radio, television, and Internet. It's always touching to see how many people and especially children donate.

They are locked up until the day before Christmas, than they will be released. This is always a big happening, they are totally worn out, and happy to be rejoined with their family ;) Also they announce how much money they have collect and will donate it to the Red Cross.

What do you think of this action, will you watch it and will you request a song? And is there some similar action going on in your country?

I think it's a good idea to get this started in every wealthy country, Belgium started last year, and Switzerland joined this year...maybe you can tell your favorite radio station to join this action next year. Keep the good work going...
